James Marvel

James Marvel is an accomplished executive with significant experience in business technology initiatives and accounting transformations. Currently serving as Executive Director at UBS since June 2018, James leads the US real estate asset management platform's technology initiatives, encompassing project management and user engagement. Previously, as an Advisory Manager at Deloitte, James managed complex accounting and finance projects, including ASC 606 implementations. At The RMR Group, James held dual roles as Director of Technical Accounting and Director of Financial Reporting, overseeing technical accounting matters and financial reporting for multiple real estate investment trusts. Earlier in a career at Ernst & Young, James managed audit teams and ensured compliance with various accounting standards. James holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a B.B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.
