Matthew Burbedge

Matthew Burbedge serves as the Global Head of Finance Data at UBS, a position held since 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing the Group Finance Data Management Office and leading a global team focused on finance data management, information security, strategic ledger redesign, and data quality monitoring. Previously, as the Group Finance Change the Bank Lead, Matthew led initiatives aimed at transforming finance systems and processes, enhancing control and reporting capabilities. Matthew also held the role of UK Head of Financial Reporting, managing reporting for the UK region during challenging industry times while fostering key stakeholder relationships. Earlier experience includes working as an Auditor at Moore Stephens from 1993 to 1997. Matthew holds a BSc in Geography from Loughborough University, earned between 1989 and 1992.
