Michael Faes

Michael Faes is currently the Executive Director of Internal Audit - Issue Assurance at UBS, where they manage issue and quality assurance audits. They previously served as an Audit Director at Credit Suisse from 2020 to 2024, overseeing audit portfolios for various business units. Prior to that, Michael held several executive roles at Julius Baer, including Head of Business Risk Management and Group Internal Audit Manager. Their career began as an External Auditor at Ernst & Young from 2000 to 2005. Michael earned a degree in Accounting and Controlling from Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW and later became a certified Wirtschaftsprüfer through EXPERTsuisse.
