Michael O'Shaughnessy

Michael O'Shaughnessy currently serves as a Director and Internal Auditor at UBS, where responsibilities include analyzing and assessing risks and evaluating the effectiveness of controls. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Vice President at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities from April 2007 to March 2013, serving as a Business Manager in the Japan Corporate & Investment Banking Division, focusing on efficient operations and regulatory compliance. From April 2005 to March 2007, Michael was an Assistant Vice President at Lehman Brothers Japan Inc., leading a team in Business Planning & Analysis to evaluate performance across Asia Pacific. Michael also worked as an Assistant Vice President at Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. from March 2001 to March 2005, where responsibilities included managing sales and services for Samurai bonds. Michael holds a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with additional studies at Obirin University.
