Omar Aref

Omar Aref is currently the Director of Software Engineering specializing in Big Data and AI at UBS Evidence Lab. Omar's career includes experience as a Senior Product Care Engineer at Electrolux and various roles in data analysis and engineering at UBS, where they have advanced to an associate director position before attaining their current directorship. They began their professional journey with internships and training at organizations such as the Arabian Company for Home Appliances and the Science & Technology Center of Excellence. Omar earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The British University in Egypt and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Loughborough University.
