Richard O'Brien

Richard O'Brien is the Executive Director, Crew Chapter Lead, and Head of SRE in Operating System and Middleware Services at UBS, where they have been leading various teams since 2016. Prior to joining UBS, Richard gained valuable experience as a Global Service Lead and Senior Technical Expert, and worked at NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY from 1993 to 2001 as a Programmer and Technical Support Analyst. Richard also served as a Technical Consultant at Microsoft from 2001 to 2003 and briefly consulted for Marks and Spencer in 2004. Richard holds a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, earned between 1989 and 1992.
