Simon Jowers

Simon Jowers is a highly experienced public policy professional currently serving as the Executive Director and Head of Governmental Affairs EMEA at UBS. They have extensive expertise in complex banking, financial services, and European regulatory issues, with first-hand experience in EU institutions and the UK government. Jowers previously held significant roles such as National Expert at the European Commission, Head of Financial Sector Policy for Europe at HSBC, and Chair of the EU Advisory Committee for the British Bankers' Association. They also chaired the Associates for the European Banking Group from 2015 to 2017. Jowers is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics, Political Economy, and Applied Economics at Birkbeck, University of London.
