Dr. Hailin Shi, an IEEE Senior Member, currently serves as the Director of AI R&D at UBTECH Robotics, focusing on advanced research in AI models and interaction. They joined NIO in 2022 as an algorithm expert in the Digital Cockpit Department, emphasizing multi-modality human-machine interaction. Previously, Dr. Shi was a senior research scientist at JD AI Research, leading projects on large-scale face recognition and self-supervised learning. They garnered their Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and hold degrees from Sorbonne Université and Nanchang University.
