Alberto Ledesma

Alberto Ledesma is an accomplished professional in the higher education sector, currently serving as the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity at UC Berkeley College of Letters & Science since May 2018. With extensive experience at UC Berkeley, Alberto has held roles such as Graduate Diversity Director and Writing Program Coordinator, as well as Director of Admissions at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Prior to this, Alberto was a Chicano Studies Professor at UC Berkeley. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Ethnic Studies, a Master's in Ethnic Studies, and a Bachelor's degree in English, all obtained from the University of California, Berkeley. Alberto possesses strong skills in editing, volunteer management, curriculum development, public speaking, and creative writing.
