Chad Harper is a Graduate Research Fellow at the Kavli Centre for Ethics, Science, and the Public since December 2024 and concurrently serves as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience. His academic journey includes being a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley since August 2021, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics is in progress, following a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics from Grinnell College. Previous professional experience includes roles as a Strategy and Analytics Consultant and Scientific Data Analyst at Deloitte, and a Research Associate using simulated galaxy data at Berkeley Lab. Additional experience includes mentoring and tutoring positions, as well as a Summer Research Associate position at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where a computational model of tidal forces was constructed.
