Craig Strang

Craig Strang is an experienced educational consultant, currently leading Craig Strang Consulting since July 2023. Strang has been actively involved with the California Environmental Literacy Initiative since 2014, contributing to the development of the California Blueprint for Environmental Literacy, aiming for environmental literacy among California's 6.3 million students. As a past president of the National Marine Educators Association and principal investigator for BEETLES, Strang supports outdoor science and environmental education organizations in enhancing learning and teaching. Additionally, involvement with UC Berkeley since 2008 includes serving as principal investigator for the BaySci Project, working with school districts on science and environmental literacy. A long history at the Lawrence Hall of Science includes roles as associate director and director of the Marine Activities, Resources & Education Program. Strang's educational background includes a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
