David Rich

David Rich is a Principal at Reax Engineering, Inc. since July 2008, specializing in fire protection engineering, fire litigation support, and related fields. In addition, David serves as a Mechanical Engineer at Spark Thermionics, working on a novel thermionic generator technology. David has an extensive academic background as a Lecturer and Staff Scientist at UC Berkeley since June 2008 and has previously taught fire protection engineering courses at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and Santa Clara University. David's career includes experience as a Fire Specialist at Arup and as a Captain/Paramedic with the San Francisco Fire Department for nearly a decade. David holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Combustion from the University of California, Berkeley.
