David Trinkle

David Trinkle is the Director of Research Development at UC Berkeley, where they lead research development and advise on strategic initiatives. Previously, from 2007 to 2012, they served as Director of Federal Research Development at UC Berkeley, supporting various university leaders in federal funding strategies. David's experience includes roles at the RAND Corporation and as a Senior Program Examiner for Federal R&D at the Office of Management and Budget, where they oversaw budget management for major federal agencies. They hold a B.S. in Systems and Control Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and are pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
