Edith Garcia

Edith Garcia serves as the Managing Director of Marketing and Communications at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) since August 2020, enhancing the promotion and education of ceramic arts. Garcia holds professorships at the University of California, Berkeley, and California College of the Arts, where the latter includes the role of Viola Frey Distinguished Visiting Professor. Previous experience includes positions as Community and Audience Development Coordinator and Curator at Milton Keynes Arts Centre, Researcher at the Royal College of Art, Teen Programs Assistant at Walker Art Center, and Education Coordinator at CreArte Chicano Latino Arts Center and Museum. Educational credentials include an MPhil in Fine Arts Research from the Royal College of Art, an MFA from California College of the Arts, a BFA in Sculpture from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and additional studies in Ceramics and Sculpture.
