Emily Thompson

Emily Thompson is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley, with expected completion in 2026. Previous experience includes roles as Special Projects personnel at the UC Berkeley Center for Latin American Studies, Outreach and Recruitment Analyst at the Institute of International Education, and Outreach Officer at Survival International. Emily also served as an Intake Interviewer at Esperanza NY, Inc., a Graduate Associate at New York University, and an Outreach Assistant at Common Knowledge Group. Further roles include Graduate Fellow and Senior Intern at Vassar College, and Burnam Intern at The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. Emily holds a MA in Latin American Studies from New York University and a BA in Latin American Latino/a Studies from Vassar College.
