Gasper Begus

Gasper Begus is an Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, holding multiple faculty affiliations including the Berkeley Institute of Data Science and the Institute of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. As Director of the Speech and Computation Lab, Gasper leads interdisciplinary research in AI, machine learning, and spoken language processing. Previously, Gasper served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington and held various roles at Harvard University, including Sophomore Advising Coordinator and Resident Tutor. Academic expertise encompasses generative AI, natural language processing, and computational linguistics, supported by a PhD in Linguistics from Harvard University. Currently, Gasper also provides consulting and product development services through InterpretAI.
