Hank Wang

Hank Wang is a Graduate Student Instructor for Biology 1A at the University of California, Berkeley, involved in teaching introductory biology. Wang has a background in research, specifically within the Lammel Lab, focusing on mammalian brain circuits related to motivation and reward prediction error, utilizing techniques such as in vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, and behavioral analysis. As the Laboratory Manager for the Undergraduate Lab @ Berkeley, Wang has taught research skills and developed curriculum while also managing the divisional website as the Computer Science Director for the Public Health and Health Sciences Division. Wang has held leadership roles, including Faculty Committee Co-Chair for the Molecular & Cell Biology Undergraduate Student Association, facilitating connections between faculty and students through organized events. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and minors in Data Science and Bioengineering, with ongoing studies towards a Master’s degree in Biotechnology at UC Berkeley.
