Jay Keasling

Jay Keasling is a highly accomplished academic and researcher with a long-standing career at the University of California, Berkeley, where Jay has served as a Professor since July 1992. In addition to this role, Jay has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Joint BioEnergy Institute since October 2007 and a Senior Faculty Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since August 1992. Jay's educational background includes a Postdoctoral fellowship in Biochemistry at Stanford University School of Medicine (1991-1992), a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan (1986-1991), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1982-1986).
