Jiang Lin

Research Professor

Jiang Lin, PhD, currently serves as a Research Professor and Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Berkeley since January 2018 and holds the position of Nat Simons Presidential Chair in China Energy Policy as a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since 2016. With previous experience at the Energy Foundation from September 2007 to March 2016, Jiang Lin held roles as Senior Vice President of China Strategy and Analysis as well as Senior Vice President and Director of the China Sustainable Energy Program, focusing on clean energy policies and environmental solutions in both China and the United States. Prior experience includes serving as Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 1994 to 2007, where involvement with the China Energy Group included research on energy use in buildings and energy efficiency investment. Academic background includes a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, obtained between 1987 and 1992, and an MS and BS in System Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, completed in 1987.
