Jim Johnsen

Jim Johnsen currently serves as Vice President of Executive Search at Greenwood/Asher & Associates, LLC, and as Affiliate Faculty at the University of California, Berkeley. With substantial experience in higher education administration, Johnsen held various leadership roles, including President at the University of Alaska from 2015 to 2020, and Senior Vice President at both Alaska Communications and Doyon, Limited. Additional roles include Senior Fellow at the National Association of System Heads and administrative positions at the University of Minnesota, focusing on employee relations. Johnsen holds an Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
