John Chuang

Professor

John Chuang is a distinguished academic and professional with extensive experience in the field of information and computer science. Currently serving as a Professor and Associate Dean at the School of Information at UC Berkeley since 1999, John Chuang has advanced through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. In addition to academia, John Chuang co-founded boxbabble from 2007 to 2014 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science in 1999. Earlier in his career, John Chuang contributed to MIPS R10000 microprocessor design as a Member of Technical Staff at Silicon Graphics from 1992 to 1995. Educationally, John Chuang holds a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
