John Grinold

John Grinold is currently the Space Science Laboratory Quality Manager at UC Berkeley, leading Mission Assurance programs for multiple NASA projects. They previously served as Mission Assurance Manager for the NASA ICON Mission, overseeing quality management and thorough audits to ensure product compliance. With extensive experience in aerospace programs and risk consulting, John has held significant roles at organizations including Booz Allen Hamilton, Space Systems Loral, and the US Navy. They earned an MBA in Operations Management from California State University - East Bay, complemented by a technical degree in Nuclear Engineering from the US Naval Nuclear Power School. Additionally, John contributed to their community as a high school baseball coach at Miramonte High School from 2015 to 2022.
