John Yoo

John Yoo currently serves as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Texas at Austin and a Senior Research Fellow at Civitas Institute. John Yoo has held the position of Emanuel S. Heller Professor of Law at UC Berkeley since July 1993 and is also a Grant Advisor for the Searle Freedom Trust. Additional roles include membership on the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Legal Foundation and serving as a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research since 2003. John Yoo has experience as a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution and held various visiting professorships at institutions including Chapman University and the University of Chicago Law School. John Yoo obtained a JD from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard University.
