Jonathan Shewchuk

Jonathan Shewchuk is a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in computational geometry, scientific computing, and numerical methods. With expertise in triangular and tetrahedral mesh generation for finite element and finite volume methods, they also teach courses in machine learning, data structures, and mesh generation applied to engineering and computer graphics. Jonathan has previously worked as a visiting researcher at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis and interned at Bell Northern Research, where they investigated fabrication defects in integrated circuits. They hold a B.Sc. in Physics and Computing Science from Simon Fraser University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
