Justin Germain

Justin Germain is a doctoral student and graduate student researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, with experience in various research roles focusing on sociology, employment programs, and public policy. Germain has previously served as a summer fellow at the California Policy Lab and worked as a research assistant at MEF Associates, where significant contributions included implementing research on employment programs for low-income Americans and authoring studies on the opioid crisis's impact on families. Additionally, Germain has conducted qualitative research and facilitated collaborations among researchers and policymakers. Previous roles also include work for the UC Berkeley Division of Student Affairs, the Public Service Center, and Common Cause, where research on campaign finance reform was undertaken. Germain's educational background consists of a PhD and MA in Sociology, as well as a BA in American History from UC Berkeley.
