Krste Asanovic

Krste Asanovic is a prominent figure in the field of computer science and engineering, currently serving as Chief Architect and Chairman at RISC-V International since August 2015, and as SVP Global Engineering and Chief Architect at SiFive since July 2015. Asanovic has held a long-standing academic role at the University of California, Berkeley, starting in July 2007 and currently serving as Professor Emeritus. Prior experience includes an associate professorship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from July 1998 to June 2007 and a research engineer position at GEC Hirst Research Centre from July 1987 to July 1989. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley (1989-1998) and a BA in Electrical and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge (1984-1987).
