Kyle Rawlins

Lecturer

Kyle Rawlins is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in real estate development, finance, and education. As the Co-Founder of BIG Oakland since January 2017, and a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley since May 2020, Rawlins focuses on equitable and inclusive development. Rawlins serves as Principal at Piper-Cadmium Real Property Management, LLC, overseeing the development of several key projects including a 10-story mixed-used building and the repositioning of historic apartments in Manhattan. Previous leadership roles include Co-Founder and Director of Real Estate Development at Designing Justice + Designing Spaces and Chief Investment Officer at InDev Capital, which targeted real estate in Brazil. Rawlins' career began with positions at Salomon Brothers and Prudential Real Estate Investors, following the attainment of an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
