Mark Anderson

Mark Anderson has extensive experience in architecture and urban design, serving as a board member and design principal for Urban Water Studio since January 2008, focusing on urban land/water relationships and infrastructure. Since August 2001, Mark has held the position of Professor of Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, teaching design studios and seminars with an emphasis on urban infrastructure and technology, as well as engaging in projects in Asian cities. As the Principal of Anderson Anderson Architecture since January 1984, Mark's firm operates in the United States and Asia, while also owning Bay Pacific Construction, Inc., which undertakes building construction in Washington State, California, and Japan. Mark earned a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in History, Asian Studies, and Art from Pacific Lutheran University.
