Matthew Garrett

Matthew Garrett is an experienced Information Security Architect at Aurora, specializing in the implementation of Zero Trust network architecture and security features for a variety of devices. As a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, Matthew teaches operating system security within the Masters in Cyber Security program. Extensive contributions to Fedora Project as a Developer include roles in kernel and firmware development, along with service on the Fedora board. Previous positions include Staff Security Engineer at Google, Principal Security Engineer at CoreOS, and Senior Security Engineer at Nebula, Inc., where Matthew focused on enhancing hardware integration and cloud security. Matthew's career began with roles at Red Hat and Ubuntu, and academic credentials include a PhD and BA in Genetics from the University of Cambridge.
