Megan Hall

Megan Hall currently serves as the Director of the Chemical Management Safety Center of Excellence at the University of California and as the Chair of NFPA 45, the Standard on Fire Protection for Laboratories Using Chemicals. Megan has an extensive career at UC Berkeley, holding positions as Deputy Fire Marshal for Hazardous Materials and as a Visiting Scholar and Research Scientist, where management of multiple plant genomics projects and grant oversight were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes roles as Laboratory Operations Manager at Bio Architecture Lab and Independent Contractor for Rene Ricks EH&S and Facilities Consulting, where Megan developed compliance plans for biotechnology startups. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biology from Duke University, an MS and BA in Biology from the University of Oregon and University of California, Santa Cruz, respectively.
