Per Peterson is the Chief Nuclear Officer at Kairos Power, a position held since 2017. Prior to this role, they served as a Professor and Executive Associate Dean at UC Berkeley from 1990 to 2017. Per was also a Commissioner on the Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future from 2010 to 2012. They earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Reno and UC Berkeley, respectively, followed by a PhD in the same field from UC Berkeley.
