Phuoc Le

Assistant Professor

Phuoc Le, MD MPH, is a Professor at the University of California, San Francisco since July 2011, specializing in teaching, patient care, and global health initiatives. In February 2023, Phuoc Le took on the role of Vice Dean for Medical Education at VinUniversity College of Health Sciences. As Co-Founder and Board Chair of Arc Health, established in June 2018, Phuoc Le focuses on health equity by improving recruitment and retention in underserved populations. Additionally, Phuoc Le is a Co-Founder of the UCSF HEAL Initiative, which emphasizes health equity. Teaching responsibilities also extend to the University of California, Berkeley, where Phuoc Le serves as an Assistant Professor since July 2012, managing an MPH program and instructing both MPH students and undergraduates. Phuoc Le's early career includes a residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital from 2006 to 2011, while academic credentials include an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and an MPH from the University of California, Berkeley, following a Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. In 2017, Phuoc Le participated as an Eisenhower Fellow in a global leadership program.
