Pierre Michel

Pierre Michel is a physicist and the group leader for Laser-Plasma Interactions in the Inertial Confinement Fusion Program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since September 2006. In addition to this role, Pierre serves as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, where teaching responsibilities include Laser-Plasma Interactions as part of a graduate course in theoretical plasma physics. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and research as a graduate student at Laboratoire pour l'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses. Pierre holds a Ph.D. in plasma physics from École Polytechnique and a master's degree in photonics from Université de Strasbourg.
