Vice Chair, Student Advisory Committee For Financial Aid And Education at UC Berkeley

Rena Lu is a dedicated undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies with a minor in Public Policy. Currently serving as a Campus Bridging Project Assistant at the Othering & Belonging Institute, Rena promotes inclusion and belonging through student programming and communication initiatives. In addition, Rena holds the position of Vice Chair on the Student Advisory Committee for Financial Aid and Education, advising administration on access and affordability while drafting meeting agendas. Leadership roles include President of GENup Collegiate at Berkeley and Chief of Staff for Senator Grottel-Brown, where Rena co-authored a financial literacy class proposal. Engagements also include research positions that analyze class action settlements and address complex social issues regarding race and attraction. Rena's commitment to education and community service is further illustrated through mentoring elementary students and philanthropic efforts to combat housing insecurity at Berkeley.
