Richard Russo

Dean, Extended Education at UC Berkeley

Richard Russo is the current Dean of Extended Education at UC Berkeley. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Summer Sessions at UC Berkeley from December 2005 to July 2011. From September 2000 to December 2001, they were the Corporate Controller & Assistant Treasurer at EF Englishtown. From December 2001 to November 2005, they were the Executive Director of Administration at Boston University. From October 1993 to September 2000, they served as the Director of Finance & Administration at Boston University. Prior to that, they were an Audit Associate at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting from September 1992 to October 1993.

Richard Russo was educated at Alfred University, where they earned a BS in Accounting. Richard then went on to Questrom School of Business at Boston University to earn their MBA in International Business. Richard is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State and a Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Richard Russo reports to Catherine Koshland, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost. They work with Geeta Anand - Dean, Graduate School of Journalism, Lisa Alvarez-Cohen - Vice Provost, Academic Planning , and Linda Burton - Dean, Berkeley School of Social Welfare.
