Riya Jain

Riya Jain is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Biodegradable Bioscience Team Member at the University of California, Berkeley since August 2021, where work involves utilizing 3D printing technology and cell cultures to develop heart valves for transplantation. Riya's research on polycaprolactone’s effectiveness for heart valves has led to the initiation of prototype creation. Additionally, Riya is involved with Project RISHI, designing educational resource projects for children in Bharog village, India. Previous experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at UC Berkeley's Lustig Lab, focusing on improving magnetic resonance imaging, along with various leadership positions in educational and health organizations, including the Global Health Club and the National French Honor Society. Riya Jain is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Human Biology at UC Berkeley, expected to graduate in 2025.
