Ruby Nelson

Ruby Nelson is an experienced Laboratory Operations Manager at the University of California, Berkeley, responsible for supporting research projects within the Schaffer/Landry Laboratories, managing equipment, maintaining safety protocols, and coordinating safety training. Prior to this role, Ruby served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Multifunctional Inorganic Materials Lab, conducting independent research and synthesizing inorganic materials, and as the Computer Classrooms Manager at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Ruby oversaw technical operations and improved training methods. Ruby also gained valuable experience as a REU NSF Student Intern at Colorado State University, where Ruby developed new instrumentation for research and was recognized with an Outstanding Student Presentation Award. Ruby holds a degree in Honors Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
