Dr. Spencer Diamond is a Principal Investigator at the Innovative Genomics Institute at the University of California, Berkeley, where they currently lead research efforts in genomics. Previously, they served as a Project Scientist and Associate Project Scientist at UC Berkeley and completed a Ph.D. in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology at the University of California, San Diego, where their research advanced the understanding of circadian control over metabolism in photosynthetic bacteria. Spencer also holds dual bachelor's degrees in Molecular and Cell Biology and Microbiology from UC Berkeley.
