Stet Sanborn

Stet Sanborn, AIA CPHC, is a Vice President and Principal at SmithGroup, serving as the Engineering Discipline Lead since July 2018. With a strong background in architecture and mechanical engineering, Stet has also been a Guest Lecturer at UC Berkeley since January 2009 for Arch. 140: Energy and Environment. Prior experience includes Associate Principal at Integral Group, focusing on HVAC design and consulting for Zero Net Energy buildings, and various academic roles, including Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts. Stet's early career involved positions at Siegel & Strain Architects and Center for the Built Environment, as well as internships at Loisos+Ubbelohde and Bosch. Stet holds a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
