Professor Of Computer Science

Stuart Russell is a Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley, where tenure began in 1986, including key roles as Chair of the Computer Science Division and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from 2006 to 2010. In 2011, Stuart Russell founded Bayesian Logic Inc., serving as Vice-President and focusing on innovative data analysis solutions with applications for the United Nations Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization. Additionally, since 2008, Stuart Russell has held the position of Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery at UCSF, conducting research on computational physiology and ICU monitoring in collaboration with Professor Geoff Manley. Stuart Russell earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BA with 1st Class Honors in Physics from the University of Oxford.
