Sydnee Caldwell is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Economics Analysis & Policy Group and the Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley since July 2020. Additionally, Sydnee holds the title of Barbara and Gerson Bakar Faculty Fellow. Prior to this, Sydnee was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Microsoft New England Research and Development Center from July 2019 to June 2020, and gained extensive teaching and research experience at MIT's Department of Economics from January 2014 to May 2019, where contributions included roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Associate. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Senior Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from July 2012 to July 2013. Sydnee earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
