Thiago Correa

Thiago Correa, PhD, currently serves as the Strategic Planning and Development Director at the Energy and Biosciences Institute (EBI) at the University of California, Berkeley, since August 2023. Prior to this role, Thiago spent over a decade at ConocoPhillips, where multiple positions were held, including Director of Exploration Portfolio and Assurance, and Geologist for the Austin Chalk Team, focusing on exploration strategies and risk assessment in various geological contexts. Thiago has also contributed to academia as a Resident Associate at Rice University and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Miami, with research centered on carbonate environments. Thiago holds a PhD in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the University of Miami, along with a Bachelor's degree in Oceanography and Marine Geology from UERJ.
