Ty-Ron Douglas

Dr. Ty-Ron Douglas is the inaugural Associate Athletics Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, Dr. Douglas served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri. A recognized scholar and speaker, they have presented at prestigious institutions such as the NCAA and The Ohio State University, focusing on research topics including Black Masculinity and community-based pedagogical spaces. Dr. Douglas has authored books on student activism and race, and is currently the Executive Director of the Salt City Center. Additionally, they have been awarded various honors, including the Distinguished Dissertation Award from the American Educational Research Association.
