The UC Davis Sheepmowers Grazing Project utilizes university sheep and a central campus lawn to improve campus sustainability and promote mental health through public grazing events. These recurring community events help redefine urban landscapes as multifunctional spaces that support ecological sustainability, contribute to the beauty and identity of a site, improve physical and psychological health, encourage community engagement, and provide opportunities to pilot innovative management operations. Our goal is to integrate sheep into campus landscapes around the world!
