Mike Friend

Mike Friend has a diverse work experience in the fitness industry. Mike most recently worked at Genesis Health Clubs as a District Manager and a Fitness Manager Coach. Prior to that, they were an affiliate partner at UCAN and an equity partner at Fit Lab KC. Mike also gained valuable experience at Life Time Inc. as a Personal Training Manager and a Team Development Manager. Mike held various leadership roles at The EFT Group Personal Training, including Vice President of Sales/National Recruiting Director and District Manager. Additionally, they worked as a Master Trainer/Fitness Manager at Aspen Athletic Clubs and as a Fitness Manager III/Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness. Mike has been consistently involved in the fitness industry since 2009.

Mike Friend attended MidAmerica Nazarene University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Business/Corporate Communications. In addition to their degree, Mike Friend has obtained several certifications:

- FRCms Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist from Functional Range Systems in December 2022.

- USAW L1 from USA Weightlifting in May 2018.

- NASM CES from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in October 2011.

- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in May 2011.

- NCSF CPT from the National Council of Strength & Conditioning in May 2011.

- ACE CPT from the American Council on Exercise in December 2008.

- Mike Friend also holds certifications from NASM, including NASM CNC and NASM WLS, but the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
