Amy Nelson

Amy (Modrow) Nelson, OTR/L, CHT, is an experienced occupational therapist with a focus on hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation. Currently serving as a Quality Review Specialist at UCare since January 2022, Nelson previously worked at Hennepin Healthcare as a Certified Hand Therapist/Occupational Therapist from October 2018 to October 2021. Prior positions include Professional Practice Lead Hand Therapist at Allina Health and Certified Hand Therapist roles at TRIA Orthopedics and Park Nicollet Health Services, where oversight of Hand Therapy was provided across multiple locations. Nelson began the professional journey at Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center, advancing from Casual Occupational Therapist to Lead Occupational Therapist. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University.
