Dan Hounchell

Dan Hounchell is the VP of Product Strategy & Management at UCare since May 2024, overseeing product strategies across various health programs, including Medicaid and Medicare. Prior to UCare, Dan served as VP of Product & Government Programs at Dean Health Plan, Inc. from May 2019 to December 2023, focusing on strategic consulting within the health insurance sector. Dan's experience also includes the role of VP Health Plan Products at Martin's Point Health Care, where the organization aimed to provide high-quality care in multiple northeastern states. Additionally, from February 2016 to August 2017, Dan was the VP of Ohio Market Operations at CareSource, responsible for market strategy and member engagement. Earlier career achievements include serving as Chief Strategy and Administrative Officer and Chief Operating Officer at HealthSpan Partners, where Dan built and developed operational strategies and contributed to significant revenue growth. Dan Hounchell holds a JD in Communication from the University of Dayton School of Law and a BA in Communication from the University of Cincinnati.
