Michael Nicholson

Michael Nicholson serves as the Director of Recruitment, Admissions and Participation at the University of Cambridge, overseeing UK and international student recruitment, marketing, admissions, access, and funding initiatives. Additionally, Michael holds the position of Vice Chair of the UCAS Council, providing insights to the UCAS Board of Trustees. As a Board Member of the Council of International Schools, Michael contributes to the advancement of quality international education. Previous roles include Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach at the University of Bath and the University of Oxford, as well as various positions in student recruitment and admissions at the University of Essex and Newcastle University. Michael began a career in higher education at the University of Sheffield, following a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from The University of Sheffield and a Junior Year Abroad at Allegheny College.
