Steve Minney

Steve Minney currently serves as the Director of Future Students at the University of Reading since July 2025 and holds a position as an Advisory Council Member for UCAS since May 2024, where responsibilities include providing expert input to the board and shaping UCAS’s strategic direction. Additionally, Steve chairs the UCAS Wales Policy Forum, facilitating discussions on issues affecting progression to higher education and apprenticeships. Prior experience includes a lengthy tenure at Swansea University from September 2002 to July 2025, culminating as Head of Student Recruitment, where Steve developed and executed recruitment strategies utilizing data and digital marketing. Steve’s academic background includes a First Class BA in History & American Studies from Swansea University, completed in 1994.
