Joke Coen

Joke Coen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental and regulatory management, particularly within the energy sector. Currently serving as the H&S Regulatory Intelligence Lead at UCB since July 2016, Joke has also held positions such as Product Safety Stewardship Lead and Environmental Specialist. Prior experience includes a decade at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation as a Regulatory and HSE Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments, HSE management for various international projects, and corporate stakeholder engagement. Significant projects included environmental and regulatory leadership for offshore developments in Mozambique, Benin, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and others. Earlier roles include an Environmental Specialist at BP Azerbaijan and a high school geography teacher. Joke Coen holds a Master in Environmental Sciences from University of Antwerp and a Master in Geography from KU Leuven.
